International Maritime Industries (IMI) announced the completion of the ARO-2003 (SAR201) MRO project with ARO Drilling (ARO); a world-class offshore drilling contractor that owns, operates and manages a fleet of premium, high-spec oil rigs in Saudi Arabia. ARO-2003 (SAR201) is a "Baker Marine" oil rig currently operating for Saudi Aramco in the Gulf of Arabia. The project was led by IMI at Dammam shipyards. Located at the King Salman Complex for International Maritime Industries & Services in Ras Al-Khair, Saudi Arabia, International Maritime Industries will become the largest full-service maritime facility in the MENA region. When construction is complete, the facility's annual capacity will be four new overseas oil platforms and more than 43 new ships built, including VLCC, in addition to providing services to more than 260 marine products. The main production operations are expected to be operational by the end of 2020 and the complex will reach full production capacity by 2022. International Maritime Industries is a joint venture formed between Saudi Aramco, Lamprell, Bahri and Hyundai Heavy Industries. .
