ECA Group Received a Contract of Approx. €450 Million in Robotics

In March 2019, ECA Group received a contract of approx. €450 million in robotics. Under this, the company is entitling to manufacture and delivery nearly 100 drone systems. In 2018 ECA group has developed a new mini VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) drone. UAV IT180-120 is a gasoline-powered version of an UAV IT 180 mini VTOL UAV with an endurance of upto two hours. The new mini drone has its application in fire surveillance; and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) detection missions. In 2017, ECA Group signed an agreement with Ifremer, under this agreement ECA Group will develop an ultra-deep autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) known as A6K. This new product is capable of performing surveys, inspection missions and is capable of diving 6000 meters depth.
